Ananya Agnihotri
Ananya will happily follow birds to any part of the world— that is how she has found herself in Aotearoa New Zealand, studying birds at the intersection of conservation and human interest in the Canterbury Plains.
She is passionate about helping nurture biodiversity in working landscapes and is keen on using field experiments, geospatial data, socio-ecological surveys, and literature syntheses to address her research goals.
In her free time, Ananya loves to read, watch tree canopies, and engage with world cinema. The best way to make friends with Ananya is to introduce her to a cat, and the best way to communicate with her about research is through her email:
