Izzy Busby
Izzy is an ecologist passionate about research in invasive species management, herpetology, and supporting mātauranga Māori.
Izzy is currently undertaking a PhD in the REC lab examining interactions between Waitaha geckos (Woodworthia cf. brunnea) and invasive mammalian predators on Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū, Banks Peninsula.
She is based out of the Ngāi Tahu Research Centre at the University of Canterbury, and has worked on a range of projects including tuatara translocation feasibility, freshwater health, limpet sclerochronology, and community predator control operations.
When not in the office, Izzy can be found running with her dog or swimming at the beach.
